Custom Solar Screens
After
Before
  • 1"X7/16" thick aluminum frames.

  • Extremely durable...also pet resistant

  • Only Phifer Sun Tex 80 or 90 material is used.
(Not the other so called Solar Screen material that fades after a couple of years.)

  • Sliders are made with Regal frame (5/8"X1-7/8") and steel wheels.
    (No nylon wheels here.)

  • Weather stripped with 1/2"X1/2" foam and installed to the outside of your windows.
(NOT into the frame; cracking the glass, breaking the seal, and voiding your window's warranty.)

  • Matching colored Barrel Clips are used so the Solar Screen can easily be removed for cleaning.
(There are too many screen jobs out there with colored frames and silver clips. Tacky)

  • We are very proud of our work and don't take any money until AFTER the job is finished.
(Out here more than anywhere, after paying for a job, you hope the screen guy comes back after paying him, and if he does come back, you hope he uses the material he said he was going to use, and does a good job.)

  • Installed over Pop Out/Tilt Out windows (Andersen) so they can be opened from the inside.

Phifer SunTex
- is a fabric woven of extremely strong and durable vinyl-coated polyester yarns. The uniform weave design offers excellent outward visibility and good ventilation. Shading is approximately 80 - 90 %, and SunTex is available in a choice of four earth tone colors. The fabric is also pet resistant making it ideal for use in doors and full-length screen panels.

The chart here shows a window with Brown SunTex installed. In midsummer as much as 230 BTUs can fall on each unprotected square foot of glass.

With SunTex installed, up to 80 - 90 % of the sun's heat and glare is reflected, absorbed and dissipated before it strikes the window.
